Chapter 8:

• Victoria was stunned hearing her brother.. She never thought this question will appear into his little mind so suddenly! How could she take him so lightly!
• Motionless about her words, Victoria was searching for the right words to answer him.. Suddenly, "no, your sister wouldn't do that.." The gentle and sexy voice came..
• Both siblings looked at the voice.. Victoria's jaw dropped on the floor seeing her newly wedded husband, standing near the door..
• Alexander wanted to meet Vincent at lunch but, he thought not to scare the kid at eating time.. What if he refused to have his lunch.. So changing the plan, he came to meet him now and heard their conversations coincidentally..
• Victoria never thought how Vincent will react after seeing his brother-in-law.. Well, his face.. But, much to their surprise he didn't scream or panic.. Instead, he calmly observed Alexander and finally ask "who are you?"
• Alexander walked in front of him "I am Alexander King, your sister's husband.." His tone was gentle as usual..
• Vincent looked at his sister for confirmation.. And she nodded, "yes, he is.." Fearing, what would be his next question..
• Vincent then turned his head again to Alexander "did you blackmaile my sister to marry you?" He asked the question so calmly and seriously, as if he is a mature man, talking with another one!
• Victoria stared at his brother, mouth agape.. "No! Vincent.. What are you talking about!?"
• Alexander smiled slightly and squatted down in front of him "Do you think your sister is someone who won't protest against the blackmail?"
• Vincent nodded like an adult and thought for sometimes "yes, you are right.. So, You love her?" He asked again..
• "Vincent.. I think you should change.." Victoria tried to change the topic.. She is feeling embarrassed now..
• "You should not hide it honey.." Alexander said while looking at his newly wedded wife.. Victoria stared at him dumbfounded.. She blinked her eyes in shock.. She did not see this coming, specially the endearment..
• Alexander smiled gently and hold her hands "I love her so much Vincent.." He kissed her hands and all the time his eyes never left her.. Victoria did not know what was happening and what to do.. She was seating all silent.. Then Alexander looked at Vincent "I promise you I would not let anything happen to her.."
• Vincent once looked at his sister and then his brother-in-law.. And finally he grinned "I trust you with my sister.. Brother-in-law, I like you!"
• Victoria "....."
• Is she the dumb one here!? What on earth just happened!? "I... I think you should change Vincent.."
• "Yes, your sister is right.. Then we will have our lunch together.." Alexander also supported her..
• "Okay, then.." With that Vincent went to change and freshen up..
• Alexander stand up with Victoria.. After Vincent vanished inside the washroom she create some distance with him.. "I am sorry for all this Mr. King.. I didn't know Vincent would make scenes.. And... Umm.. Thank you for your help and not let him to know about the truth.."
• Alexander's mood sunken in sadness.. He clenched his fists.. But, he did not let the sadness came into his face.. He smiled softly at her "it's okay, he is a kid.. Moreover, I have promised you, to not let him know about... Us.." He replied calmly.. 'And what I have told few minutes ago is all true Victoria.. I wish I could tell you everything..' He said to his mind..
• At the dining area, Vincent and Victoria both were looking around, mouth hung open.. They have never seen such things in life! "Are we going to eat here!" Vincent couldn't control himself and blurted out..
• Victoria slapped on her forehead inwardly.. Can his brother stop embarrassing her for once!?
• Alexander replied smilingly "yes, we are going to eat here.. You like it?"
• "Yes! I love it! Thank you brother-in-law! You are the best.." He replied almost jumping..
• Victoria got scared.. Too much jumping and running would not be good for his health "Vincent, don't jump! It's not good for your health!"
• Vincent stopped and his happy face turned into sad one "sorry, sis.."
• Alexander stepped forward and squatted down before him "hey, everything will be fine.. You can tell your sister that you can do anything from now on.. Your treatment will be starting from tomorrow, with the bestest doctor in the whole UK.. And in just a few days, you will be fit and fine.."
• Vincent's face turned bright with excitement.. "Really!?"
• "Hmm.." Alexander nodded..
• "Thank you!" Vincent chimed happily and hugged him..
• Alexander looked up at Victoria.. She felt her heart warmed up and tears formed in her eyes.. She nodded and mouthed him 'thank you'.. Feeling grateful for his support through all these..
• Few minutes later,
• Various kinds of dishes appeared in front of them.. They were only three people and dishes are which felt like for at least twenty people..
• Victoria felt it totally unnecessary and waste of food.. She felt sad about thinking how rich people waste things and how poor people has to work hard to arrange three times of meals! What a tragic unfair situation!
• "You okay?" Alexander asked, concerned..
• She suppressed her feelings, "yes, I am fine.."
• Alexander only nodded and did not say much.. He knew there is something bothering her.. But, did not pressurize her..
• While eating she was stealing glances at her husband.. He was as usual gentle and eating very elegantly.. Seeing him eating was another kind of art.. Though one thing made her utterly speechless! Like, who on earth eat sandwich with a freaking fork and knife!?
• Blinking her eyes in amusement she looked at Vincent.. He was also enjoying the food.. Though something were freaking stupid but she liked the thing that Alexander was careful about Vincent's health and gave him the food which is good for him..
• There was a pin point silence in the room.. Which both siblings were not used to.. Victoria felt kind of uneasy and she was also worried about Vincent's sudden burst out.. However, much to her relief, he understand the seriousness of the situation and did not talk.. Though Alexander is good with them, what if he doesn't like some behaviour and got angry!? She obviously doesn't want that..
• "Why are you not eating Victoria?" Noticing her concentration on thinking rather than food, Alexander asked, worried.. "Are you okay? You are not liking the food?"
