Chapter 45 Asking Her Out

• King Shawn sat at the head of a long, polished mahogany table, surrounded by mayors, government officials, and advisors. The room was adorned with portraits of past rulers, their stoic faces staring down at the present assembly. As the meeting droned on, King Shawn's mind began to drift away from the matters at hand.
• He was almost bored to death and could only think of his beloved fiancée, Catherine, to keep his sanity. It's been a few days since he last saw her at the royal ball, and lord knows he was dying to see her again.
