Chapter 40:

• Sanaya’s P.O.V
• I unlocked the door to Lance’s apartment and held it open so we could both enter at the same time. After two days in the hospital where the Lance’s specialist, also a Chrone in one of the Magean tribes, had fed him several dangerous looking liquids to boost up his healing and energy without having to feed, he was discharged to go home and rest well…and do an actual feeding for the sake of his health.
• Lance looked fine on the outside but he was weaker than normal and his healing was slow. The bullet wound was an angry red spot on his chest that refused to subside and X-rays showed the presence of scar tissues inside his chest as well. Those potions and antidotes could only do so much.
