• A smile began to form at the corners of Adrian's lips. He lightly pinched Cathy's cheeks. "So, you still remember that I'm your husband?" His low voice was sweet. "You know that I'm your husband, yet you pretended to not know me, pretended to be Ashley Kim, and left me?"
• Cathy's heart skipped a beat. She took a deep breath and turned towards Adrian. Cupping his face in her hands, she pecked him on his lips. "I know that I'm in the wrong, but we're even now."
• Adrian smiled. When Cathy ran away, she changed her name and disfigured herself with heavy make-up to hide from him. Did she hope to brush off her actions with that simple gesture? Then again, it worked on him.
