Chapter 22 Jasper

• "Hey, beautiful," I picked up the crying toddler as she stands up in her new pink crib holding onto the railing with her chubby little fingers, sobbing, telling the world that she's up and hungry, and probably need a diaper change.
• "Mommy," she grabbed onto my wrinkled t-shirt and her cries died away when I rubbed her back mindlessly. It has been ages since I took care of a baby, and it was like riding a bike. They always loved me and little Tara was no exception.
• "No, baby, mommy is not here, but daddy is." I turned her to let her view Jasper who was still sleeping like a log, yesterday was a rough one and I let him sleep it off while I changed her diaper and make her a new bottle.
