• The Abyssal Codex floated in the center of the war room, its glowing runes shifting and pulsing as though alive. Lira stood over it, her brow furrowed in concentration as her hands moved across the interface linked to its containment field. The rest of the team gathered nearby, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and exhaustion.
• Kael leaned against the edge of the table, his shield resting beside him. “What have you found?”
• Lira glanced at him, her voice thoughtful. “The Codex is more than just a fragment of the Nexus. It’s a repository of knowledge—a map of sorts. It’s tied to the remaining fragments and the next stages of the Protocol.”
