Chapter 13

• The home was deafeningly quiet, so I thought Dominic had gone wherever he wanted to go. Then, a sheet of paper taped to my bedroom door escaped my notice. What the hell is going on here? After viewing my daily agenda, I cursed aloud. I kicked a nearby trash bin and later regretted my rash action when I had to clean it up.
• Dominic tried to make me pay for something I couldn't control. It was unjust, and he was obnoxious! Keith and I had planned to eat dinner together, but he had to go somewhere, so I waited for Dominic instead.
• I waited up till midnight in the living room, but he didn't come home. I waited till one o'clock, and when he didn't appear, I gave up and went to my room. It was late, and I needed to sleep. However, I could see his face when I closed my eyes, and I couldn't help but be concerned about him. What is the reason for this? I tossed and turned in my bed as if waiting for him to get home safely.
