Chapter 23 Putting Things In Perspective
- “Mistress, it's dinner time and the table is set,” a maid said politely to Zora, who frowned a little. She had just come out of the shower, wearing loose, silky pants and pajamas. They were neither transparent nor tight.
- Due to the summer heat, she left her hair loose, opting not to use the dryer. Even in a loveless marriage, she was addressed as madam and mistress was inappropriate in a comatose marriage. Not hesitating, and as a woman who once managed a home, she corrected the maid.
