• Katherine blinked but said nothing, though she replied to that question in her heart. I do miss Noah after not seeing her for days, and the sense of longing has gotten a lot stronger. That never happened before. When she came back to Hovington, she left Noah and her grandmother overseas, and she never once thought of Noah. However, she was now longing to see the girl. She had finally overcome that hurdle in her mind.
• Joaquin was glad to see this. Seeing Katherine and Noah get along filled him with peace. He quickly packed his things up and returned to Hovington. He had planned to leave Jeremy here, but Katherine insisted she could handle herself well. "It's alright. I have Carmine with me. Take Jeremy with you. He's your lieutenant. If anything bad happens on your side, he can help you."
