• Samuel and Kairos sat casually at Oregano Bar, chatting and enjoying their drinks. Yes, they were both not busy. At Kairos's suggestion, Samuel reluctantly agreed to lie to Edward. He said there was a surgery scheduled, so he couldn't make it, allowing Edward to enjoy a dinner alone with Bella.
• "If Edward finds out we're both here, he'll definitely be furious."
• Kairos laughed. But really, he didn't care if Edward eventually found out he was the mastermind behind this lie. After all, everything Kairos did was for Edward's own good.
