Chapter 9 Waited

Because Lara was still in a bad mood, after being dropped off at work the next day, she didn't go inside the office. She made her driver believe that he had accomplished his task of taking her to work.
But once the driver was out of sight, she took a taxi straight to Anastacia's condo.
"I'm leaving in an hour," her friend said, as if reluctant to let her in. Anastacia was busy ironing her hair.
