Chapter 30

• Helen, Adam and his kids were literally the last set of people to leave Oliver’s home. Ollie was literally catching up with Adam while Jessica did all her best to get along with Helen. They ended up leaving Flint's mansion at almost 10 pm. Both kids had fallen asleep by the time they got home. Helen carried Anna to her room, changed her, and put her to bed while Adam did the same for Calvin.
• Stepping out of Anna’s room, Helen suddenly felt thirsty so she proceeded to the kitchen for bottled water. She was gently gulping down the water by the counter when she absentmindedly saw her boss walk in.
• Placing the almost empty bottled water on the counter, Helen felt a pair of arms protectively wrapped around her waist. From behind, She felt Adam nuzzle her neck and placed a kiss on her shoulder. “I don’t remember when last I felt genuinely happy. I didn’t want today to end. You, me, the kids, Ollie, Jess, and my godson, Evan. Everything just seemed so perfect. Thank you for coming along with us.” He whispered in her ear, with his arms still around her slender waist.
