Chapter 23 A New Lady

• “I..” Kimberly stammered and Landon showed up staring at both of them suspiciously. “Would someone love to tell me what the meeting behind my back Is all about?” Landon asked, looking at Kim. “It is nothing son. I just wanted to have a chat with her.” Sara responded and Landon nodded slowly.
• “Then I would be so glad to join the conversation,” Landon said, sitting near his mom and Kimberly scoffed silently. “Oh, never mind. We are done. Right, Kim?” she asked and Kim nodded, putting on a fake smile. “Yes ma'am. We are done.” She said happily. Thank God Landon came to save her from his mother.
• “Fine. What do you want to eat?” Landon asked Sara, ignoring Kim. Kim stood up and waited for Sara's response so she could go and start preparing it. “Anything goes. You have known that before Landon. Let her go into the kitchen and cook whatever she feels I will love.” Sara said, and Kim's eyes widened.
