Chapter 56 He's Had Enough

• “Daemon would really kill me if he finds us out.” Henry cleared his throat and gripped the steering wheel tightly when a group of armed men passed by their car. “Shit! He’s going to roast me alive!”
• Devon just ignored his whining while sitting silently in the car, arms crossed together waiting for her parents to come out of the restaurant. She literally begged Henry to accompany her outside to the mall and then tricked him to tail her parents that she accidentally saw on the way. She could have just walked out the car and approached them to announce to them that their daughter is not dead but the old creepy old man they’re talking to inside stops her from doing so. Looking at his lopsided grin tells her he’s a nasty evil guy.
