• I brought my face closer to his, trying to kiss him. The man immediately pulled away, releasing me and taking a step back, stunned. Our eyes were immersed in each other for a brief moment and I could have done anything but turned my back and ran down the stairs, running away in a way I've never done in my life.
• I didn't have the courage to look back or even stop running for a minute. Even in heels, I only stopped when I opened the door and entered Isla's house. My heart was racing and I was short of breath. I leaned against the wall and stayed there, motionless for a long time until I managed to recover from the shit that had happened to me.
