Chapter 24 The Entity

• Anya stood before the massive double doors, her heart hammering against her ribs. The cavern was no longer oppressive, the faint glow emanating from within the city bathing it in an ethereal light. Yet, the whispers in her mind grew louder, more insistent, urging caution as they neared the source of the darkness.
• "Are you ready for this, Anya?" Elara's aunt asked, her voice laced with concern but unwavering resolve.
• Anya took a deep breath, the hilt of the blade of light cool and reassuring in her hand. "We have to be," she declared, her voice stronger than she felt. "The whispers say this is the heart of the darkness. We can't leave the job unfinished."
