- I felt my soul leaving my body.
- Right before the device hit the ground, my foot pushed in the direction. A gasp left me as pain shot throughout the bones in my leg. Bending down, I held the throbbing spot.
- "My phone!" Maria yelled, coming and picking it up. She rubbed it clean like it was her baby.
