Chapter 42

• I watched him leave and my heart was hammering inside of my chest. Blood dripped down from her legs and that made my body shake. Tears didn’t stop coming from my eyes and I just cannot understand what I just did to her.
• “When did you reject her?” I heard my mom’s cold voice. I looked at her eyes and found she was both furious and disappointed. I gulped and looked away from her eyes.
• “On her birthday” Soon another slap hit across my face making my heart go numb. I was kneeling in front of everyone who was present there and my mom was slapping me. I’ve really done something terrible.
