• “Dorian…” Jared sighed. He was practically herded out of the apartment after Dorian had managed to open the shackles As the night darkened, Kai had also become subdued. The Alpha King clenched his teeth. It felt humiliating to be standing outside and knocking on someone’s door. He knocked again. “Dorian, just listen to me.”
• “Not interested,” came the raspy reply. Jared wanted to kick down the damn door and talk some sense into the brat, but he knew the consequences of angering the feral wolf. He huffed and left. There was no use in persuading someone who was so unwilling to cooperate.
