  • Kate was standing outside, on the doorsteps until he bid her welcome and she took a few careful strides inside, walking passed the door that had been pushed invitingly open. He could see that glow in her eyes again but she quickly looked away, to the picture painting hanging on the wall and she stood, fixed in reverie.
  • She walked a bit closer to the piece of art. It was a messy picture, gruesome and dully portrayed by the artist. She was also aware of the creaking of wood journeying from the kitchen ceiling and the fresh smell of furniture and the faint bathroom lights sketching each droplet of water roughly as it touched the floor. She was aware of the blood flowing through his veins right below his skin, tempting her senses with every beat and she immediately turned to him, meeting his gaze. She was absorbing him, devouring him mentally as if he was dinner.
