• I lifted my glass to my lips and then sipped the drink. “I don’t know how long I will leave since it is a complicated business. Yet, if I can finish the matter, I promise to ask Freya’s permission to marry you as soon as possible.” I placed the glass back on the table. Then reaching my hand to hold Helena’s hand, I asked, “Will you wait for me, darling?”
• “Yes, I will.” She raised my hand to her lips and kissed it. “As Ernie told me, it binds our souls together after marking. Though I don’t know much about your custom, I believe you are my spouse after the marking. I can feel it so strongly in my heart.”
• I tenderly smiled as I stared at Helena. “I’m so happy that you accept my world’s custom. One day, I’ll tell you more about it.”
