• I groaned, clutching my head at the analysis I had just made. It would seem all those damned educational classes with Luca had paid off. He would be pleased with himself. I could imagine the snug look on his face if I told him any of the things I had thought about.
• However, if the people were terrified of him, I thought as the water cascaded down my back, that would make things a bit harder. Humans were terrified of death. As long as they got to live their normal lives, they would do anything. Ferreting information out of people, when we did get to Italy, would be hard as hell.
