• Pyotr and I were sitting on the hotel terrace, watching the sunset. That was our last night on the island, we were leaving for New York in the morning, and we were enjoying our last moments there.
• During the honeymoon I discovered that Peter aroused feelings in me that I had never imagined. He makes me laugh, he makes me shiver, he makes me feel extraordinary. In the last few months, I had been getting to know a part of him that no one else knew. The way he likes to take care of people, how he is always willing to help, how he pays attention to things I say, and how his sense of humor is unique, and always willing to laugh at my silliness.
