Chapter 21 Good news alongside a bad news

• Klaus walked into his boss' study after being summoned by him some seconds ago, his eyes traveled round the office he left barely some minutes ago after his boss fell asleep. He remembered everything was in order when he left, if he hadn't known better he would have thought their turf had been infiltrated by some spies from their rival gang.
• He caught sight of a photograph on the huge mahogany desk, and his face squeezed in a frown . He scrutinized the large study for any shadow of his boss but saw nothing. He retraced his steps and walked away from the room , a few steps to the door he had stifled sobs, his hands that were coiled round the door knob were let loose . He turned to see where the sound was coming from, this time around he saw a pair of shoes sticking out behind the desk.
• His feet found its way towards it , upon arrival towards the table he found his boss sprawled on the floor, he was a mess to behold. His once styled hair now disheveled, his tie lay loosely on his neck . He hugged one knee with his face down with one arm wrapped around his knee . The other arm was clutching a bottle of brandy that was now empty, two butts of cigarettes on the floor and a lighted one in the ashtray .
