Chapter 8

• Demetri has no idea how many bottles of beer he has consumed, and he doesn't care. He simply desired to become inebriated. He wanted to get drunk so that he could forget, if only for a moment. But even if he drinks all day, the pain in his heart will not go away. His thoughts kept returning to the past. And every time he recalls what happened before, his heart is filled with even more pain.
• God knows how much he cared about Sarah. Everything he did, and everything he used to do, was for Sarah. If she asks, he's even willing to give his life. But the woman he dedicated his love to squandered it all.
