• I practically ran out of the room with tears streaming down my face. I ran down the stairs bumping into Alex's father unintentionally. I looked at him horror,my eyes apologising and pleading with him to let me off. I expected him to raise his voice at me as it seems that's what everyone does around here.
• "Woah, you should watch where you're going next time so you don't hurt yourself." He spoke in a surprisingly soft tone, his hands steading me.
