Chapter 43 Illusion

  • Kael's eyes lingered on the small, ornate box, memories flooding his mind. Inside, the pendant lay hidden, a token from his childhood and a reminder of his friendship with Xylara. They had stumbled upon it in the woods, two curious children exploring the secrets of the universe. The pendant, imbued with the magic of their youth, had been engraved with a warning: "For one use only."
  • As children, they had planned to use it together, to explore the mysteries of the forest and uncover hidden wonders. They had dreamed of flying, of soaring through the skies like the birds they admired. But fate had other plans. Xylara's injury and subsequent joining of Khaos and the Shadows had torn them apart. Kael had kept the pendant hidden, a constant reminder of their lost friendship.
  • Now, with the Order of the Weavers growing impatient, Kael knew it was time to use the pendant. He opened the box, revealing the small, delicate chain and the pendant itself. It glowed with a soft, ethereal light, as if sensing its purpose.
