• I didn't see that coming. Even in a million years there was no way I would have predicted that. I mean, what were the odds? As I stood rooted to my spot, my mind whirled with a million and one thoughts. How was this even possible?
• “Hey.” Someone's fingers snapping in front of me was all it took to bring me back to earth. I blinked twice, just to realize I was still at my door, with a very unwanted visitor staring me down. “Can't you speak?”
