Chapter 62: A warm welcome

• GABRIELS POV,
• After Noelle disappeared from his sight Gabriel stood there for a while just feeling empty and sad. It seemed he only got such a short amount of time to share his love with Noelle. But he must keep faith that this is not the end, and they will get to spend much more time together. He takes a deep sigh and goes inside to pack his bag. He already said goodbye to Dagahra and the rest so there is nothing left for him to do. He meets Julias at the square and together they walk out of Liberum. He glances over his shoulder one last time and hopes with all his heart that he will see his beloved city again. Zeus decided it would detect the least attention to walk so he and Julias have a 3-day walk ahead. Julias stays silent for most of the time, but Gabriel doesn't mind. He has a lot on his mind at the moment so some peace and quiet is just what he needs.
• After a few hours walking they decide to call it a night and set up a camp. Gabriel disappears into his own tent and lies awake for a long while thinking about Noelle. Where would she be now, what is she thinking, is she scared? He eventually falls asleep from exhaustion and dreams about laying in a field of flowers with his wife. Her big green eyes looking at him full of love and wonder.
