• ~Rex's POV~
• I regained my calm and followed Hugo after a few minutes of reflection. Afterward, I escorted him to the room where I and Juno were staying. Hugo kissed her on the forehead after tucking her into bed and brushing her hair back. He walked over to a couch, not giving a second thought to the folks he had frozen in the hall. With his legs crossed, he demanded an explanation!
• “Explain.” In my mind’s eye, I saw the young man who was currently conversing with me as if I were his best friend. He owes it to the goddess to express his gratitude for the fact that he is Juno’s twin. If not, I could have chopped off his head. No one ever speaks to me as though they are about to poop in the toilet. I’ll let that slip because he’s her twin brother.
