Chapter 4 Try Me
- Deandre Romeo
- "Lucas!!!" I said as I entered my bestfriend's office.
- "Hey bud.. What's up?" He asked as he walked to the sofa. I plopped down on his sofa and he raised his eyebrows looking at me suspiciously.
- "What?" I asked.
- "You're acting weird.. What did you do?"
- "I'm getting married next month." I said and he looked at me with a bored expression.
- "Tell me who hit your head, I'll hit their heads back." Lucas said flatly.
- "I'm not joking.." I said as I took out the invitation from my pocket. I threw it to him and he caught it. He looked at it and his eyes widened like it was going to pop up in a second. He turned to me in disbelief.
- "Andre! You're crazy! She has nothing to do with this!" He bursted and I got up from the sofa.
- "Lucas.. You and I might be an ex-mafia but the mafia blood still runs through my veins." I said in a cold tone as I put my hands inside my pocket.
- "Keep it from Crystal until the day of the wedding. Help me out here.." I said and Lucas sighed.
- "Andre.. this is too much." He said as he put the invitation in a secret drawer below the table.
- "Don't tell Crystal." I warned him once again.
- "I won't but you should think about it again. She was engaged."
- "I don't care if she's engaged.. or married.. I don't fucking care!" I hissed coldly and took a deep breath. I saw Crystal coming from the glass walls.
- "She's here." I said.
- "Ugh! What are you doing here again?" Crystal said when she walked into the office. I smiled at her and sat down again.
- "I miss my Lucas.. you took him away from me these days. I'm jealous." I said and her jaw dropped. I chuckled and turned my head to Lucas.
- "You two have fun.. I have a lot of work to catch." I said as I got up again.
- "Don't come here again!" Crystal hissed and I laughed.
- "C, I can't. I love your boyfriend too much to not come here again.. sharing is caring." I said smirking and she glared at me. She gestured to me to go and I looked at Lucas one last time. He nodded and I walked out from the door.
- I walked towards my car and my phone rang. I took it out of my pocket. I smirked big time to see who's calling me.
- "Talk." I said.
- "Let's meet up." Tatiana said.
- "And why should I grant your wish?" I asked.
- "Your office now." She ended the call and I shrugged. I put my phone back in my pocket and got into my car. I drove towards my office and was completely curious what Tatiana's offer would be because I know she hates the fact that I force her to get married with me but I don't care about how she feels.
- As soon as I arrived at my office, I parked my car in front of the lobby to let my chauffeur take care of it. I walked inside and found Tatiana standing there in front of the information desk. She saw me and immediately walked to me.
- "Let's talk in your office." She said and I walked past her. The security guard let me pass and they lead me to the lift right away. I entered the lift first and then Tatiana entered. I pressed my office floor and closed the door.
- I walked out from the lift as the door opened. I gestured to my secretary to go and leave us alone. I entered my office and held the door for her to come in. I closed the door and locked in.
- I walked to the sofa at the corner of the room and gestured to her to sit down. I sat down and she sat in front of me.
- "I can give you anything you want but I can't marry you." She said looking right into my eyes. I raised my eyebrows and tilted my head a little.
- "Too bad, I don't have anything in mind." I said as I gestured her to look at the paper on the desk. She took it and her eyes widened.
- "You should listen to everything I say.. or else.." I smirked and she sighed.
- "Why? Why are you trying to crush my family?" She asked.
- "If you try to say about canceling the marriage again.. I will take my 5 million back and you can see your dad's world falls apart in front of your eyes." I said coldly and she looked down to the table. It was like she's battling with her own mind.
- "If you don't want to marry me really bad.. then take off the ring.. go home.. wait.. you all won't have a home anymore if you go out through that door with no ring on." I said and she sighed.
- "You marrying me will be a definition of hell." She said to me trying to make me back off.
- "Oh darling.. I'm already living in hell."
- "Why marry me when you know in the end there will be a divorce paper kissing your face?" She asked.
- "Thankyou for thinking about the future but I don't really care about it to be honest." She scoffed and looked up to the ceiling. She laughed dryly and then she turned back to me.
- "We don't love each other and marriage is once in a lifetime."
- "Love? We don't need love in marriage, Tatiana. Marriage once in a lifetime? Oh come on.. Don't be naive, you can get married 4-5 times.. no one cares." I shrugged and her jaw dropped.
- "Then find someone else!" She bursted angrily at me.
- "I'm not interested in finding another one."
- "You psycho!" She hissed angrily and she looked at me like she's going to kill with her long sharp nails. I just looked at her calmly but still cold.
- "Move in to my house by tomorrow."
- "I don't want to!"
- "Try me, Tatiana. Try me.." I smirked and she looked away avoiding my eyes.
