• After only a few hours of sleep and he was getting out the clothes he was going to wear, he noticed something on the makeup table that Serena used when she was staying in his room, he had bought it in just for her to use and hadn't gotten rid of it yet, he went over and picked up the small box that had held her diamond earrings.
• Thinking it was empty, he opened it, inside was the earrings, he wondered why she hadn't taken them with her, it cost a fortune and any other woman would have taken it, closing the box, he sat down on the bed, he wasn't sure what he was going to do with them, he sure didn't want to keep them around, it would only be a constant reminder of her, his heart started to ache and he could not help feeling that he had lost something special.
