Chapter 6 The War Gods Block The Way

  • “Step on it, we need to get back as soon as we can!” Fabian said in an extremely cold tone.
  • At that moment, his face was ashen, his body trembling. His eyes were so bloodshot they looked as if they were about to bleed.
  • Eleven didn't dare to say more as he floored the gas pedal. The car, like a cheetah sprinting at full speed, was rapidly moving across the endless desert.
  • For the next two days, Fabian and Eleven tirelessly journeyed on without rest.
  • Throughout this journey, countless warriors tried to obstruct them with numerous ambushes along the way.
  • But in the end, everyone was completely annihilated by the two. Not a single soul was left alive.
  • Along the way, the two of them were like the grim reaper, leaving rivers of blood wherever they passed.
  • Eleven's sword had countless notches appearing on it from all the men he had slaughtered.
  • Both of them were covered in a thick layer of dried blood, some of it from their enemies, some of it their own.
  • At last, two days later, the two of them arrived at the borders of Jacaster.
  • Fabian's phone once again received a video message.
  • “Asura, you really are powerful! Despite all the people who tried to stop you along the way, none of them were a match for you. However, those people are just the appetizers, the main event is yet to come! By the way, my experiment has already begun, and I'm quite pleased with your sister and your parents.”
  • Subsequently, Fabian received another video on his mobile phone.
  • In the video, Fabian's sister and parents were injected with various unknown substances by a group of laboratory staff clad in protective gear.
  • In no time, his sister and parents let out a series of piercing screams.
  • The chilling scream was so heart-wrenching that Fabian felt as if his heart was about to shatter.
  • Halfway through, Fabian couldn't bear it any longer and shut off the video on his phone.
  • “Boss, you must hold on. Our men are almost there,” Eleven said from the side.
  • He could sense that Fabian's mood couldn't be any more miserable.
  • The relentless travel along the way had further worsened the wounded Fabian's state of mind.
  • Upon reaching the borders of Jacaster, the two of them halted once again, as five figures emerged ahead.
  • “Boss, they're the Five War Gods of Clusia!” Eleven said.
  • The five figures up ahead were none other than the Seven War Gods of Clusia of Clusia, who were responsible for guarding the four directions of Clusia—East, South, West, and North. They were Azure Dragon, Vermilion, White Tiger, and Dark Tortoise.
  • Also, Kirin, who guarded Central Plains, was together with them.
  • Clusia had seven war gods in total.
  • The four border war gods were respectively known as the Azure Dragon, Vermilion, White Tiger, and Dark Tortoise.
  • There was also Kirin, who guarded Central Plains, and Atlas, who guarded, who protected Juxshire.
  • Last but not least was Fabian, the newly emerged Asura.
  • Rumors abound in the outside world that among the Seven War Gods of Clusia, the strongest was Atlas, followed by Kirin.
  • Following that were the four war gods of the East, South, West, and North.
  • As for Fabian, Asura, outsiders had no knowledge of the extent of his power.
  • After all, Fabian's time in Clusia was too short, and he had not specifically fought with the other six war gods.
  • “Asura, you truly are powerful to have made it this far!” Azure Dragon said haughtily.
  • “However, this is the end of the line for you!”
  • The war gods harbored a certain disdain for Fabian.
  • They were all top-notch experts in the military and domineering leaders in their own right.
  • In ancient times, they were akin to a high-ranking official who had been granted a military title and ennobled.
  • Their status was not something achievable by someone as junior to them as Fabian.
  • “Hmph, for killing Snow Tiger Legion, I must slay you today!”
  • The belligerent Snow Tiger took a step forward, ready to strike.
  • However, Kirin War blocked his way.
  • The serene and profound-looking Kirin glanced at Fabian before he began to speak calmly.
  • “Asura, considering the numerous contributions you've made for our Clusia, why don't you surrender now? Otherwise, this very place will become your final resting place today.”
  • No sooner had Kirin spoken than his face suddenly changed drastically.
  • He then retreated in haste because a terrifying aura had already locked onto him.
