Chapter 10 Shocking News

  • Everyone bowed their heads low when faced with Alistair's furious outburst. Not a single person dared to speak.
  • An elder stood up and said, “Mr. Drago, now is not the time to discuss these matters. We must urgently command our troops to deal with Fifth Nation!”
  • “Hmph!”
  • With a fierce glare, Alistair told the old man, “Notify the four war gods immediately. Have them all rush to the Southern border and prepare their troops for battle! All other forces should set out at once, heading for the Southern border.”
  • No sooner had Alistair's words fallen, than one of his subordinates exclaimed in terror, “Boss, we just received word that the Three Strongest—Ten, Twelve, and Thirteen—have entered Clusia about three hours ago! They showed up in Jacaster a few minutes ago and severely wounded the Five War Gods! It's highly likely that the Five War Gods have fallen at their hands!”
  • “What?”
  • This news struck everyone to the core. Their faces turned ashen, their hearts trembled, and their bodies shook uncontrollably.
  • Each and every one of them knew with absolute certainty that they were done for.
  • The Five War Gods were no match for them and got severely wounded. Without the command of the Five War Gods, the army's morale will surely crumble! There's simply no way we could defend against the immensely powerful Fifth Nation now!
  • “How could this happen? Why did this happen? How come we didn't know that people from Fifth Nation appeared within the borders of Clusia?” Alistair asked with immense anger.
  • “Boss, those people are way too powerful. They come and go like the wind, so we simply can't track them down!” replied one of the subordinates.
  • “Why would they show up in Jacaster? Could it be that they're also here to hunt down Asura? Or are they here to kill the Five War Gods?” Alistair was quite puzzled.
  • Logically speaking, if Fifth Nation wanted to take action, those warships and aircraft carriers could be deployed to destroy everything in their path. Why would they only send their elites over to Jacaster? Moreover, how could they possibly know with certainty that the four war gods and Asura would all be in Jacaster?
  • “No, they're not here to kill Asura. They... They must be here to help Asura! Eleven... Yes, that's right! Eleven! The person next to Asura calls himself Eleven! He calls Asura 'Boss'! Could he be Eleven from Fifth Nation?” Jonathan said with immense fear as he thought of something.
  • His words left everyone utterly shocked.
  • Their hearts couldn't help but start to tremble again.
  • “So, does this mean that Asura is the mysterious ruler of Fifth Nation?” someone asked in shock.
  • “It seems that Fifth Nation suddenly emerged when Asura was branded a traitor!” someone continued.
  • “And now, the aircraft carriers of Fifth Nation are gathering in the open sea off the coast of Clusia. Ten, Twelve, and Thirteen, have all appeared in Jacaster and severely injured the Five War Gods, who were getting in their way...” someone added.
  • “Only the thirteen supreme warriors under the command of the mysterious ruler of Fifth Nation possess such terrifying power. They had the ability to annihilate Eighteen Shadows in an instant and severely wound the Five War Gods with a single strike,” added Jonathan.
  • At that point, everyone was somewhat afraid to imagine what would happen next.
  • One by one, they felt a dryness in their throats, their hearts filled with an indescribable fear.
  • The entire command post was deathly silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
  • At that moment, a subordinate came running in, his face full of panic and his head drenched in sweat.
  • “Mr. Drago, we've just received some news. After severely injuring the Five War Gods, the Three Strongest of Fifth Nation have taken the highest commander of Jacaster's Investigation Bureau hostage, and have sealed off Jacaster entirely. Meanwhile, Asura and that mysterious elite have entered the Jacaster city area.”
  • Everyone felt as if their minds had been struck by lightning after hearing his words.
  • Alistair and the others were so shocked that they just plopped down on the ground.
  • At this moment, they were all certain that Asura was definitely none other than the mysterious ruler of Fifth Nation.
  • And yet, they ruthlessly regarded him as a traitor and had the entire nation hunt him down.
  • On top of that, his family was subjected to the most brutal torments.
  • What on earth have we done?
