• "Isn't it enough that our family took in Angela, gave her a place to stay, and a meal to eat? Why should we buy her special food and drinks?" Emilia's voice was filled with disdain as she continued her tirade. "What's the point of having a cake for a birthday? That cake wasn't cheap. Hecate, why on earth did you go and buy a cake for no reason? Isn't that just wasting money? We barely have enough as it is, and if we don't save, how are we supposed to get by in the future?"
