Chapter 804 Return Of Ex-wife
- “Alright, let’s not cry. We should encourage each other and be strong for Daddy.” Davian wiped away his tears and said sensibly, “Okay, we won’t cry, Mommy, you don’t cry either. “We have to stay strong together and send the best wishes for Daddy to get well.” “Stay strong!” Joanna forced an encouraging smile and reached out her hand. The little ones followed suit, placing their hands on top of Joanna’s, chanting “Stay strong” in unison. “During this time, Mommy might not have much time to be with you. You guys need to study hard, alright?” “Don’t worry, Mommy. We will study well and not cause any trouble for you and Daddy.” The three little ones reassured in unison.
- Joanna smiled in relief. “You are all such good kids. “And make sure to take good care of your little brother, okay?” “Yes, we know.” Joanna bent down and kissed each of their faces one by one. The babysitter also brought Devin over. “Madam.” Devin had just finished eating and was babbling in baby talk. “Is my baby crying?” Joanna walked over to check. “Darling, come to Mommy for a hug.” “Madam, you just came back from outside. It’s better to change your clothes and wash your hands before holding Mr. Devin.” The babysitter reminded with a smile. Joanna hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “That’s right.” Having just returned from outside, she might be carrying germs. Devin was still young and had a weak immune system. She needed to be careful.
- Joanna went-upstairs, took off her clothes, and then went for a quick shower in the bathroom. Afterward, she changed into a clean set of pajamas and returned to the living room. “Darling, come to Mommy for a hug.” Joanna gently took her son from the nanny’s arms and hugged him affectionately. Even though the Everett family had many servants, Joanna did not have to look after the baby herself. She still made it a point to hold her son every day, to be close to him, and shower him with maternal love. She understood that if she did not invest enough motherly affection, her child might not be close to her when he grew up.
