Chapter 6 Did You Just Seduce Him

• Damien’s hand froze mid-air and withdrew it after a moment, looking expressionless. Amanda simply lay there, smirking a little.
• Meanwhile, Maya walked inside, smiling gently at Damian as if nothing had happened.
• "I just arrived 5 minutes ago. I called you and did not get though. I thought you already left. Did I scare you?”
• Damien pursed his lips and was about to say something, but Maya approached him and stretched out her hand. "Let me do it."
• Then, he said nothing and handed her the damp towel.
• "Dominic already explained everything to me, so you can leave Amanda to me. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her," she said.
• Hearing this, Damian looked at Amanda, lying motionless on the bed like a corpse, before nodding. "Okay."
• Soon, he left the room, closing the door behind him.
• The room was quiet momentarily, and Maya threw the wet towel to Amanda and said,
• "What did you do? Did you just seduce him?”
• Amanda is very uncomfortable right now and doesn't want to talk to Maya. She smiled coldly at Maya and then said,
• “I give you 5 minutes and then you find your own reason to leave this room. Otherwise I will reveal to Damien what kind of a person you are.
• Maybe he won't believe me, but his grandma will definitely believe me.You know how much his grandmother meant to him. If his grandma hates you, you're gonna be in a lot of trouble.”
• Maya bit her lip, and her face turned ugly, but she still have to do what Amanda asked. In order to marry Damien, she does have to please his grandma.
• Two hours later, the three of them returned to the Cadogan Residence.
• As soon as Amanda stepped out of the car, she stumbled and nearly fell forward. Then, Damian quickly caught her by the arm and frowned. "You're in this state, yet you still refuse to take medicine or get a shot. You're something else."
• Maya followed them out of the car and saw their hands touch. She hurried over and said, "Let me help Amanda."
• At the same time, some maids in Cadogan Residence saw them.
• "Did I see wrong? Wasn't that Miss Sterling?"
• "Who is Miss Sterling?"
• Most of the long-serving maids in the villa knew Maya, but some newer ones didn't.
• "Maya Sterling. She's the woman that Mr. Cadogan loves. Don't you know that?"
• "Mr. Cadogan loves her?" The young maid's eyes widened. "Isn't Mr. Cadogan already married?"
• "Most marriages within wealthy families are only business deals. No real love involved," said the older maid, who had spent many long years in the Cadogan Residence and spoke confidently.
• "You guys are new here, so you don't understand. However, I was there when it all happened. Maya isn't any random woman Mr. Cadogan likes. She actually saved his life. She went abroad to study for some time, and he's been waiting for her ever since."
• "So, why did Mr. Cadogan marry someone else?" asked one of the listening maids.
• "Well, that's because Old Mrs. Cadogan got sick and wanted to see him settle down and start a family. He had no choice but to find someone else. At that time, the Selwyn Family had gone bankrupt, so you know how it goes," the older maid finished with a sly smirk. "It's a secret within upper-class society. Not many people know about it, so don't spread it around."
• "I actually thought Mr. Cadogan and his wife were really in love. I had no idea it's all merely an act," one of the other maids said, sounding disappointed.
• "Of course, it is all an act. Don't be so naive," the older maid responded.
• As they were about to say more, a cough interrupted them. They turned around to see Hector standing there, his face dark and stern expression.
• "Don't you have work to do?" he asked, and the group dispersed like startled birds.
• Once they were gone, he stood there. He was a man in his fifties with gray hairs in his eyebrows. He furrowed his brow when he heard that Maya had returned. She was a dangerous woman and will sure do everything she can to destroy Damien’s marriage and hurt Amanda .
