• Layla's eyes fluttered open as she yawned loudly. The light in the room hit her eyes as she stretched out her hands to try and reach out for Nolan but she realized he wasn't on the bed.
• Yawning for the second time, she sat up, with the duvet around her chest, as she looked around to see if Nolan was in the room, but he was not.
• Taking a look at the table clock on the drawer near the bed. She realized it was already afternoon.
