• Today was Ethan's birthday and I planned on making it special for him. Halley, Hannah and I had already set up decorations and informed the party comers. He wasn't at home so he would get a great surprise later on when he got back from his trip.
• His Nana had moved in with us. She was getting fragile and still grieving over the death of her daughter, but I tried to make her as comfortable and peaceful as possible. She was looking forward to seeing the surprise on his face when he walked in and saw the party.
