Chapter 6 Five
- Crystal Point Of View
- "Crystal... do you know Zion?"
- She smiled at me. "I'm Lady Zein, I'm Zion auntie. I just came to visit him but the staff told me that he was just leaving."
- "Nice to meet you, Ma'am. Zion left earlier with his friend, Howard. He seems to have a job," I replied.
- "Yeah, he's really busy. Well, ever since his parents died he's been so busy with everything. He handled their company and their other properties so I went straight here to say hello to him. I just came home from the States … "
- He also seems like me who has many duties. I also remember what he said last night that what I see all over the place is owned by him. He's like the King of this town.
- "Anyway, do you want to come with me first? I'll go and grab some lunch," I was shocked by Aunt Zion's offer.
- It's true that I'm hungry too, I might see an animal on the road. "Sure, Ma'am."
- "Oh, it's nothing. You don't have to call me, Ma'am. You are not an employee. I'm just happy to know that my nephew is starting to get serious in life."
- I just smiled. We both went inside the elevator and she was the one who pressed the button, I just watched what she was doing.
- When the door opened she came out first and I followed, I noticed that she slowed down so we could walk together.
- "Don't be shy, Crystal. You're my nephew's girlfriend so we should get along well. From now on, you'll call me Auntie Zein, hmm?" She promised we would be close.
- "Okay Auntie," I said.
- I feel uneasy to know that the people we pass are looking at me. I don't know why but they look like they are criticizing me. Even when we get out and the guards are shocked to see me.
- I just turned my attention when the sunlight touched my skin. It feels so good and looks so good.
- "Crystal... come on," I heard Auntie Zein hug.
- I saw her already in the car and waiting for me so I immediately followed and closed the door.
- "Okay, Albert. You can drive now..."
- While we were on the road I was just looking out the window. Many large buildings and vehicles are here. So different and far from what I'm used to.
- "Crystal, my child. Does Zion really let you out while wearing that?" I turned to Auntie Zein because of her question.
- "He didn't know I was leaving but he saw me wearing this earlier when we ate breakfast. He let me borrow his clothes," I replied.
- "Weird. He's not even angry..."
- "Uhm, well. When his friend saw me earlier, it was like they were arguing. What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I asked curious.
- "No sister, if you're comfortable with that but because people think differently of you if they see you like that. You look like you don't have underwear, sorry but I didn't mean to offend you. Are you wearing some underneath?" she explained but I only understood a few of her words.
- I nodded. "Why? Shouldn't I?"
- "No, no, no! That's not what I mean, Crystal! Oh my gosh! You're so innocent," she exclaimed.
- I was amazed at her act. What is the problem? I don't understand, human.
- We stopped at an opposite building but it was different from what I had seen before.
- "After we eat, I suggest you change, is that okay Crystal?" said Auntie Zein before we both went down, I just nodded.
- I followed her inside and immediately smelled the fragrant aroma. Food! My eyes immediately searched for it. I could smell the meat! And it looks delicious.
- "Good day, Ma'am. Table for two?" a man asked us, he was looking at me.
- "Hmm, yes. No need to guide us, we can handle ourselves. Let's go and have a seat, Crystal," Auntie Zein replied and then walked towards a table.
- We both sat down and a woman immediately came to us who looked a little like the man who greeted us earlier.
- "May I know what your orders are?" she asked seriously.
- I looked at Auntie Zein and she was holding a wide piece of paper full of letters, I also saw something like that in front of me.
- "I'll have some vegetable salad, macaroni, and velvet ice cream for dessert. How about you, Crystal?" At once think of me.
- "I want meat..." I declared.
- "What kind of meat, Ma'am?" the woman asked me, I turned to Auntie Zein.
- "Do they have different kinds of meat here?" I asked, having no idea.
- "Yes, Ma'am, beef, chicken, pork are available. While we have roasted, grilled, and cuisine. What do you want to have?"
- I stood up and pointed to what I had seen earlier as the source of the smell. "That one. I'll have that! And all the other meat you have."
- "Okay, '' noted Ma'am. Is that all?" I nodded. "Thank you, kindly wait and your order will arrive soon," the woman said before she left so I sat down again.
- "I see, you like meat, Crystal. Are you sure you can consume all of that?" Auntie Zein asked.
- "Hmm. Is that okay? Sorry, I ordered too much. I forgot that you just invited me ..." I replied shyly.
- She smiled at me. "It's alright. I'm happy to meet a woman like you who isn't picky about food. You don't worry about getting fat. Duhh! bodies are so important for women."
- I just smiled too.
- "By the way, I already informed Zion that you're with me. At first, he was surprised and angry but sooner, he calmed down. I haven't told you yet that you came out wearing that hahaha," I was stunned when I saw Auntie laugh.
- Now, she reminds me of my Mom. Aww, I miss her so much, it was so long ago when she died and she was the only one who can truly understand me.
- "Do you have a child?" She was obviously shocked by my question.
- "Why do you ask?"
- "I'm just curious to know. You reminded me of my mother. You're both laughing like that," I explained with a smile.
- She straightened us up and put her chin on her hands. "Well, I don't have a child but I wish to have one. Especially my daughter. Maybe that's why I'm so comfortable with you. Wouldn't your mother be angry if I kidnapped you from her?"
- I know it was a part joke but I didn't laugh. "No, she wouldn't mind," I responded.
- She was shocked. "Why? You're such a lovely lady. I'm sure she misses you."
- "Yeah, I know. But she's already gone and I'm happy wherever she is now," I said sadly with a smile.
- She was silent. She looked at me in mercy then grabbed my hand. "I'm sorry to hear that."
- "Why don't you treat me like I'm your mother? I'm sure we both get along. Is that okay? Don't be sad. I'm sorry for reminding you about her," she was sincere.
- "It's fine," I replied in a low tone.
- "Oh! Look, our food is here," she said with a smile.
- I turned to what she was pointing at and saw two men coming with our orders. After putti ng everything down, Auntie Zein handed me the food.
- "Eat a lot, my child..."
