Chapter 6 Five
- She paid for the taxi and exited it as soon as she arrived at her destination. She had no idea she'd be returning to the mansion so soon.
- She fixed herself. She combed her hair with her hands and made sure there were no traces of dried tears on her face.
- She blew a loud breath when she knew her appearance had already gotten better. She closed her eyes and tried to gather the strength she needed to do what she needed to do.
- She was staring at the doorbell. She knew there was no turning back the moment she pushed the button and entered the mansion.
- She counted from one to ten, then rang the doorbell, which made a noise. Delia, the housemaid who had guided her the day before, came out a few minutes later. When she led her out of the mansion after her conversation with Rafael, she already knew what her name is. And, like the first time she went there, Delia had a warm smile on her face.
- "Michelle," Delia said.
- She gave Delia a friendly smile. "Good day, Ms. Delia." She greeted her politely.
- "Come on in, come on in," Delia said as she led her inside.
- When they arrived in the living room, Delia forced her to sit on one of the luxurious sofas. "Please wait in this area. I'll just call Mr.Rafael first and inform him that you've arrived."
- She responded with a nod.
- She fiddled with her fingers while waiting for Delia to return. She was nervous about what might happen if she accepted Rafael's offer. She is preoccupied with what-if scenarios. She's having second thoughts about her decision, but Delia has already returned.
- "He's waiting for you," Delia said. "I can't take you there because I still have a lot of work to do in the kitchen. Don't you already know how to get to his room?" She asked.
- Michelle responded with a nod to the elderly lady.
- Delia simply smiled at her before walking away. She didn't even get a chance to say thank you.
- She exhaled and stood up. "Michelle, you can do it. You've got this." She chanted as she walked into Rafael's room.
- Her heart was beating quickly and loudly.
- It's like her heart is coming out of her body due to extreme nervousness.
- Her nervousness increased when she was finally in front of the door.
- She closed her eyes and chanted some encouraging words to herself.
- You can do it, Michelle. You can do it.
- She was about to knock on the door when it unexpectedly opened, revealing the face of the man who had been on her mind for the past few days.
- Rafael had a playful grin on his face as he stared at her, starting from her angelic face and moving down to her body, causing her body hair to stand up.
- "You're back," Rafael said, his voice cold. "That means you've already made up your mind."
- This is it, Michelle.
- She bravely met Rafael's piercing stare and gave him the answer he needed.
- "Yes." She needed to gather all of her courage before saying what she was going to say. "I accept your offer." She said this without breaking their intense gaze.
- And in a matter of seconds, she felt the sweetness of its lips on her lips. She clenched her fists and shut her eyes tight.
- This is where it starts. Be brave, Michelle. Be brave.
