- I woke to rough hands gripping my arms, dragging me through a dimly lit passage. My head throbbed, my vision blurred, and the faint scent of alcohol, stale smoke, and something metallic filled the air. I couldn't remember how I got here. The last thing I recalled was being yanked into that jeep—then nothing. They must have drugged me.
- The men holding me weren’t gentle. The one on my left had fingers like iron clamps, his grip bruising as he yanked me forward. He was tall and stocky, with a shaved head that reflected the dim light above. The faint smell of cheap cologne and sweat clung to him, making my stomach churn.
