Chapter 28 Loco (Part Two)
- It became clear he was avoiding them. Even Tia Lucinda was at a loss. She caught them in a heated argument then El Patrón walked away. They never saw him alone again.
- Two days. 48 agonizing hours watching him with Catarina. She was constantly glued to his side. Though she was sent home after dinner, Rafael would be gone the whole night, too. And would be back before breakfast was served. The woman was brought to the hacienda during luncheon they were cooped in his study the whole afternoon. Laughing, perhaps fucking, too.
- Nope. She would hear them if they were. Stupid love made her a spy, too. And from experience, Rafael was not exactly quiet. She was hoping she was right or she would be gone. For good. Forever. She knew she deserved better. But some part of her wanted to stay. Some part of her still believed he would never cheat.
