They both exchanged glances with one another, and neither of them looked like they had the appetite to continue their meals. “I’m sorry,” Matthias finally said after a while.

In response, she curled her lips upward as she questioned the reason for his apology. “What’s there to be sorry about?” she uttered in a casual and lighthearted tone.
