Chapter 5 Did i just say cute!?

• The night was long and i woke up with puffy eyes cause reality is,i didn't get a chance to sleep since my mind was pretty occupied with so many things.
• Today was the burial and am glad that Clare was still here for me since i had no close relatives i can relay on...all of them were distant relatives and am sure after today,everyone will go back to their lives and i will be left all alone.
• The time for lowering their caskets reached and Clare hugged me so tight to calm me down and it really helped cause i don't know how i would have passed through all this without her by my side.
• After the burial,people came to me and bid their farewell and just like that they started leaving one by one.
• "girl...did you come up with a final decision??" Clare asked me.
• "to be honest am really not sure yet." I replied.
• "sweetie you don't have much time...it's either a yes or no...so which one is it going to be?" she asked me.
• "dang it!!! i really hate my life right now...anyways i thought about it and i finally decided to go on with his proposal." I said in a low tone.
• "wait a minute!!!! so what you are trying to say is that,you accepted to be his wife???!" she asked in full excitement.
• "yes Clare...i guess we are getting married." I replied.
• "horaaaayy my girl is getting married....jeez am so happy for you and please don't worry about anything,am sure he's going to treat you right." she made me look at her while saying all this.
• "But Clare i don't see why you are so much excited cause i don't take this as a real wedding....we are just doing this for a certain agenda." i told her.
• "whatever...but i don't see it like that cause i smell love between you two very soon....oppss!! look look over there." she tapped on my hand.
• "Clare quit beating my hand...what's wrong with you??" I asked her.
• "look Mr.Carlton is leaving right now." she replied.
• "soo!???" i asked her cause if he is leaving then how is it my concern?
• "Ciara can you please stop being dumb for a second...am telling you he is leaving so you can get your ass from that seat and go over there and talk to him that you accepted his proposal." she said.
• "ohh do i really need to do that??" I asked her.
• "Jesus Christ!!! then how will he know that you accepted if you don't talk to him huh!!??" she asked and this time she was getting mad.
• "ohh okay...it seems you are right...will be right back." i stood up and ran after him cause he was about to get into his car.
• "uhm excuse me Carlton...do you have a second please?" i asked him as he was opening the door to enter his car.
• "yah sure...what's up??" he asked.
• "well i need to talk to you about something...can we first sit somewhere convenient...i mean where there's some privacy??" I asked him.
• "ohh okay....no problem let's sit over there." he pointed at some seats and i followed him behind.
• "okay...now let's hear it." he told me.
• "i thought about your proposal and trust me when i say that it wasn't easy to come up with such a decision but i somehow managed to decide and i think you should start thinking of the wedding day cause we are getting married...i accept your proposal." i said while avoiding his eye contact though he kept his eyes on me the entire time i was talking.
• "ohh my goodness!!!! this is good news!!! i mean,this is by far the best news ever...Ciara i know it was hard to decide but,am going to do everything in my power right now and we save the company...can i ask you for something?" he asked me.
• "what is it??" i replied.
• "can i please get your number?? it will be awkward if i don't have my wife to be's number right??" he asked.
• "yah sure...give me your phone i insert it in." he gave me his phone and i can't believe he was so happy after hearing what i had to say.
• I gave back his phone and i told him i had to go back home and rest then he agreed.
• "uhm tomorrow am going to pass by at the house and we talk about the wedding preparations cause the wedding has to be really soon." he said.
• "okay then i will be waiting for you." i replied.
• We stood up from the seats to leave but i was turning to go when he pulled me in a hug and since he was a bit taller than me,i found myself resting my head on his chest and inhaling his cologne.
• I don't know how this is true but i kinda found peace in his embrace and i somehow wanted to stay like this.
• "am sorry for hugging you out of the blue but am so happy that you accepted and in that case we are both going to save the company and your dad will be happy wherever he is." he said while pulling away from the hug.
• "it's okay you don't have to apologize after all we are going to be hugging more often since we are getting married soon right?" I asked him.
• "haha okay...so i think i should get going...see you tomorrow at home." he said with a cute smile.
• Did i just say cute!?? what is happening to me??...he went to his car and he left then i also went back to meet Clare and am sure she saw us hugging cause she was just a few meters from where we were sitted and now she's going to tease me about it for the rest of the day...dang it...I know she can't let it pass just like that cause teasing me brings her joy and she can't drop it whenever she gets a chance.
