• The bedroom door swung open, and Lori and I rushed inside, relief washing over us as we escaped the chaos that had erupted at the party. Somehow, we had managed to make it out of the banquet hall in one piece, although my heart was pounding knowing that I had just left Enzo down there.
• Matt and Jessica were waiting for us, their faces etched with worry. Jessica immediately jumped up off of my bed and ran up to Lori. She enveloped her in a tight hug, checking her over to make sure she was okay like a little kid that had gotten lost.
