Chapter 9 Who Dares Bully My Sister?

• Seeing her newly acquainted brother about to lose his temper, Catherine stepped in front of him, her gray eyes flashing with anger. "How dare you say that I owe you for my upbringing when you were the ones who drove me out because I earned too little with my part-time job? I almost starved on the streets until Aunt Maggie took me in, fed me, and gave me a place to stay."
• "How did you find this place?" Maggie asked in surprise. "I didn't tell anyone."
• "Yes, why didn't you tell us?!" Catherine's adoptive mother admonished with her arms akimbo. "We were the ones who adopted Catherine into the Silverspring Pack, and now you want to take credit for it? Fat chance!"
