• Isabella and Sophia were dispatched to the Department of Design. Their supervisor was Jerome Yaeger, a forty-year-old middle-aged man who was slightly obese and wore a black suit. He had a warm and welcoming smile.
• Mr. Yaeger took great care of the two interns and brought them with him wherever he went. When it was lunchtime, he brought them along for fear that they would be confused by the process. The two ladies were flattered by his act of hospitality.
