Chapter 4 Caleb

• Anastasia POV
• Our school football team won the match that they were preparing so hard for.
• This past week has been so wonderful, Vincent was so busy that he didn't have time to bully me .
• Miss Sofia, our English teacher, was writing on the whiteboard. She's so young but yet she is already a graduate .
• I remember the first time she walked into our class ,she was wearing a wrap dress and kitten heels,her hair was packed in a bun,she looked so elegant and she had a round baby face ,that she might be mistaken for a student.
• She was fresh out of college but she was so smart ,I wanted to be like her, confident ,smart and beautiful.
• I dream of the day that I would be confident and outspoken, I was more of a book worm that got good grades,I never really liked interacting much with people.
• I went to my secret hideout during lunch break so I could have some alone time but I was surprised to see the nameless guy there.
• What's he doing here?
• He glanced over at me .
• "Hi" he smiled at me .
• "Hi," I murmured.
• What's he even going there?I was tempted to go to the cafeteria but yet I found my legs moving on their own accord and sitting a mile away from him.
• I haven't seen him around in school,more like I don't even look at their faces while walking.
• I keep my head down to avoid anyone noticing me.
• " It's a lovely day isn't it?" He asked suddenly, there was no one else here so I guess he was talking to me.
• "Yea" I mumbled.
• I couldn't just ignore him,he seems like a bully,I regret coming here all of a sudden.
• "What's your name ?" He asked .
• Why is he asking for my name? He wants to find out the class I am in.
• "Why do you want to know my name?" I asked suspiciously.
• "Nothing much just wanted to start a conversation with you." he explained.
• "Oh"
• " So what's your name ? He asked again.
• "Anastasia ,you can call me Anna though."I replied.
• " I am Caleb nice to meet you Anna " he smiled as he stretched out his hand and we shook hands.
• This is weird and I felt nervous ,this was the first time a guy actually asked my name.
• We didn't have time to talk because the bell rang and I stood up,I didn't want to be late for class.
• "Ain't you coming along? " I asked .
• "Not everyone likes studying Anna," he said.
• I took that as my cue to leave so I went back to class.
• "Hey Duck face" I heard a familiar voice call from behind,I didn't need to be told who it was so I hastened up my steps and practically ran to class.

• On my way home, more like sneaking home,I went with the crowd so that Vincent wouldn't see me. I thought that since our school won the football match he would be in a good mood ,but instead he went back to his bad ways.
• I wonder what i ever did to him for him to bully me,it started with shoving me when I was walking by him or hitting my books down from my hand but now it has turned verbal and more physical .
• I was walking with Sarah and suddenly in the midst of the crowd someone held my hand.
• "Running away Anna?" Vincent smirked as he gripped my hand that hurt.
• "Please let me go, you are hurting me" I pleaded but he didn't let go .
• " Vincent you are hurting her,let her go " Sarah said as it was shown on my face that I was in pain.
• "I called you and you ran away ,don't you know what comes next." he said as he added more force to his hold .
• "Ouch!" I exclaimed.
• "Let her go," Caleb said as he walked towards us .
• "Stay out of this Caleb"Henry gritted but Caleb didn't seem like he was going to back down.
• " Don't start something you can't finish Vincent, let go of her " Caleb said.
• "And if I don't ?" Henry asked.
• He was obviously challenging Vincent and Vincentwasn't ready to back down.
• " Gentlemen, what's going on here ?" Mr Samuel walked up to us and asked.
• Students were standing and staring so he probably wanted to know what was going on.
• "Nothing sir" Vincent was the first to speak.
• "Then why are you holding her?" Mr Samuel asked.
• " I just wanted to walk her home, sir," Vincent replied.
• Is it me or does Vincent tell the most unbelievable lie.
• Like who would believe that.
• "Is that true Miss Anastasia?" Mr Samuel asked me .
• Why was he trying to put me in the hot spot?
• "Sir, Anna and I wanted to go see a friend before leaving ,but Vincent refused..." Sarah was trying to lie but she's just adding more fire,Henry let me go.
• "Goodbye Anna, I am sure we will see tomorrow,goodbye Mr Samuel," Vincent said as he glared at Caleb before leaving.
• I let out the breath I was holding.
• " Go home Anna, you seem to always get the attention of the wrong people. "Mr Samuel said as he briefly glanced over to Caleb before walking away.
• " Are you alright? " Caleb asked.
• "Am fine thank you" I replied.
• "Should I walk you home?" He asked .
• "No, I'm fine , I don't leave far away ,thank you I will see you tomorrow" I replied as I took Sarah's hand and scurried away ,that was intense.
• I could feel that Caleb was still standing there watching me leave ,but I didn't look back once.
• After I and Sarah had walked far away from school I let her go.
• "When did you meet caleb?" she asked finally I knew she was trying to keep it in.
• "During lunch break,how do you know about him?" I asked.
• "He's a senior Anna ,I guess you won't know since you don't care about what's going on in school " Sarah said and I rolled my eyes.
• "But that was so....I just don't know how to describe ,it was as if we were acting in a play and you were the female lead in distress" Sarah explained .
• " I was surprised as well,"I murmured .
• "What did you say?" Sarah asked .
• "Oh nothing. "
• "But seriously Anna, do you and Caleb have a thing going on?" Sarah asked curiously.
• "Stop saying nonsense Sarah, we have nothing going on,nothing at all" I answered .
• "That's great because from what I heard and have seen he's a player,he toys with girls ,so please stay away from him ,you are already having a lot of trouble with henry you don't need more" she said .
• "We only saw each other twice and it was just a coincidence. I am pretty sure we might not see each other again," I replied.
• I knew that was a lie but I didn't need to ask where we met ,part of me wanted to meet him again I guess.
• "That's good to hear girlfriend I don't want you getting enchanted by him, you know he's quite handsome" Sarah said.
• "Don't worry about me getting enchanted, I am sure he has a hot girlfriend who gives him goosebumps,besides I am not that pretty to notice " I replied.
• "You haven't looked at yourself in the mirror babe, I told you to change your messy hair" she said as she ruffled my hand and I smacked her hand away and she chuckled.
• I don't know why she's even bothered,I mean who would even want anything to do with me?
