Chapter 27 Bite Him

• “Jessamine.”
• I jolt awake, sitting up so fast, stars explode in the back of my head. I squint through the darkness in the cave. The fire has died out, but moonlight filters in, illuminating the cave a little. The rogue is gone, and so are my bow, my daggers, and Alpha Kier’s tailored jacket.
• Alpha Kier is awake, his head leaning against the wall and his elbow rests on his knee. Tears of relief spring to my eyes and I raise my gaze to the hollow ceiling to keep them from falling. “How do you feel?”
